The Silkscreen Team

Screenprinting team with Frances

Nate - team leader I would love to have been able to print with the silkscreen team, but they were so busy 7 days a week. I also seemed to have plenty to do anyway in other areas, so that was fine. However, I still often (as was my habit when there) walked around the studio and watched without intruding, what they were working on. Their projects were often large scale, as you can see.

Nate (left) who was the leader of the silkscreen team, is sat in front of a large scale print project that was ongoing when I left. His skill in perceiving what the client wanted and how to produce the pieces for them was amazing. He was also responsible for my carved seal with my name on. Goodness knows when he found time to do it, very early in the morning perhaps. He organised his team with great respect and worked incredibly hard.

Here are examples of their work, often in woodblock or etching as well as silkscreen, showing how talented they are. They are the team that were on the picture "Checking the image". They were characterised by their good nature and friendship with each other and the rest of the workshop team.
